Armistice in the Balkans

3 Dec 1912

An armistice was agreed between the Ottomans and most of the members of the Balkan League on 3 December 1912. Under the terms of the armistice, military action was to cease on the basis of the existing position of the various forces. The armistice also provided for a peace conference in London, to begin in 10 days time. Greece did not sign the armistice and Greek forces continued their siege of Janina. Greece nevertheless intended to participate in the peace conference.
